Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Rally apps and website. By using Rally, you agree to them. Please read them — section 9 and 10 limit our liability, and section 12 covers how disputes are handled.
1. Accepting these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Rally, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app. If you use Rally on behalf of an organization, you represent that you’re authorized to bind it.
2. The service
Rally maps public park and private club tennis courts and shows crowdsourced, player-reported availability — Open, A wait, or Packed — with a freshness time and confidence score. You can browse without an account.
Availability is a community estimate, not a guarantee. Reports come from other players and can be wrong, stale, or incomplete. A court shown as “open” may be taken when you arrive, and a private club may require membership or a fee. Always confirm access and booking rules with the court operator. Rally is not a booking service and does not reserve courts for you.
3. Your account
Some features (checking in, reporting, photos, points, leaderboards) need an account. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure — you’re responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
4. Acceptable use
To keep the map honest and the community welcoming, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or automated court reports, or manipulate points, streaks, or leaderboards.
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, or that depicts identifiable people without a lawful basis.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data, or access the service through unauthorized automated means.
- Interfere with, overload, or attempt to breach the security of the app or its infrastructure.
- Misrepresent your identity or use Rally for any unlawful purpose.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the reports, photos, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Rally a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content within the app and to operate and promote the service. You represent that you have the rights to submit it and that it doesn’t violate these terms or the law.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us and we’ll review it.
6. Rally Pro & purchases
Rally is free to download and browse. Rally Pro is an optional subscription that adds features such as open-court alerts and busy-time forecasts. Purchases and renewals are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms — not by us directly.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change with notice for future periods.
- Refunds are handled by the relevant app store under its refund policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Rally name, logo, app, and its original content and design are owned by Ahnaf An Nafee and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the app except as allowed by law.
8. Third-party services & map data
Rally relies on third parties (app stores, cloud hosting, and mapping data) governed by their own terms. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and used under the Open Database License (ODbL). We’re not responsible for third-party services or for the accuracy of underlying map data.
9. Disclaimers
Rally is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that court information is accurate, complete, or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Tennis is a physical activity and Rally may lead you to public spaces and to meet other players. You participate at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and for following the rules of each court and facility.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ahnaf An Nafee and its team won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost time, wasted trips, or inability to access a court, arising from your use of Rally. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
11. Termination
You can stop using Rally and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the service or other players. Sections that by their nature should survive (content license for already-distributed content, IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) survive termination.
12. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. Any unresolved dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, unless a binding arbitration and class-action-waiver clause is added here after legal review.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as Rally evolves. We’ll post the new version here with an updated date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Rally after changes take effect means you accept them.
